Iris Bahr is an award-winning writer, actor, director, producer and host of the hit X-RAE and NEAR DEATH podcasts. She has written two humorous memoirs: Dork Whore, about her travels through Asia, and Machu My Picchu, about her adventures through South America and college experience. She also co-authored Book of Leon with comic JB Smoove.  Her books have been translated into numerous languages and Dork Whore is currently being adapted into a feature film.

Having appeared on countless TV shows, Ms. Bahr is best known for her recurring role on Curb your Enthusiasm, where she plays the Orthodox Jewish Girl that gets stuck on a ski-lift with Larry David, Hacks, The Conners, and her cable series Svetlana, executive produced by Mark Cuban, which she also wrote and directed for two seasons. Her critically acclaimed solo show, "DAI (enough)”, which she also performed at the United Nations for over 100 ambassadors and delegates, had a hit run Off-Broadway, has toured around the world, and won the prestigious Lucille Lortel Award for Best Solo Performance, as well as two Drama Desk and UK Stage Award nominations. 

Her third solo show I Lost You There premiered at the acclaimed Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC, and her fourth work,  DAI 2.0, was live streamed for an online audience during the pandemic.  She just completed touring with her fifth show, See you Tomorrow. 

As a stand-up comic, Iris has performed both in the US and abroad, including at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. She performs  stand-up regularly both in New York City and abroad,  accompanied by a Jazz trio, combining  her love of comedy and Jazz music, and also hosts a weekly podcast X-RAE, as her alter ego Rae Lynn Caspar White. ( Her guests have included Doug Liman, Lawrence O' Donnell,  bestselling author Kurt Andersen, neuroscientists, entrepreneurs and more. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Brown University.

Ms. Bahr is a highly sought after Public Speaking and acting coach, working with everyone from CEOs and finance executives, to pilots and entrepreneurs prepping for pitches, TED talks or other speaking events, as well as with everyday individuals just looking to improve their communication skills. She utilizes her 20 years of experience as a solo performer and teacher to work from the outside in, garnering long lasting results. 

She also provides writing services, whether they be helping write clients presentations from scratch or perfecting what they already have. She is available for Skype sessions and has worked with clients across the globe, from NY and LA to Israel and Dubai. Her foreign clients also work with her on their English skills and accent reduction when needed.
